Germany, the UK and other European countries are almost exclusively dependent on the import of strategically important metals and rare earths for their technology sectors.
This workshop will offer a platform to explore emerging technologies that help reduce reliance on scarce materials imports. At the same time, it will offer the opportunity to exchange best practises on:
- Securing access to rare resources – extraction and partnerships;
- Resource efficiency and sustainable alternatives (substitutes);
- Cost efficient and innovative recycling;
- Reducing waste in production and design – sustainability strategies.
